Dubai
Sandwiched between the warm Gulf Waters andthe rolling desert dunes, Dubai is a holiday trading centre par excellence, historically an exotic stop-over where air travellers could snap up tax free bargains. Today, it is a world-class destination in its own right, home to some of the most luxurious hotels in the world. Medieval Arabic architecture and traditional souks co-exist in complete harmony with inspirational skyscrapers A visionary destination, just when you think Dubai has reached the pinnacle of innovation and design, it announces to the world another seemingly impossible initiative. An underwater hotel, the world’s tallest building (located in the sea!), a snow dome surrounded by desert. This is a constantly evolving country, whole heartedly embracing the opportunities presented by modern day travel and hospitality yet steadfastly loyal to its rich traditions and culture.
Visitors to Dubai are guaranteed a genuine Arabic experience, coupled with superlative service and standards. The region’s year-round sunshine and infi nite white sandy coastline have ensured that Dubai ranks amongst some of the world’s fi nest beach holiday destinations. Yet this colourful Arab Emirate offers a myriad of other attractions competing for the visitor’s attention. Some of the Middle East’s most lush golf courses including the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and the Montgomerie, Dubai, can be found not far from the desert dunes. The City hub is home to a plethora of progressive shopping malls where international designer goods and locally produced wares can be purchased by the discerning shopper. The city is also the place to go for sophisticated nightlife. From roof top bars in some of the country’s most sumptuous hotels to more traditional Arabic entertainment, this is a city that has little time for the luxury of sleep. For thrill seekers, a visit to the Wild Wadi water park is sure to excite. Alternatively, a 4WD expedition across the endless sand dunes, concluding in a traditional Bedouin meal provides the perfect balance of exhilaration and relaxation.
Multi-centre stays are a popular option when visiting Dubai. Offset the frenetic excitement of the city metropolis with a relaxing beach-side sojourn where your every need is catered for – without you even having to ask. Barwell’s city based hotel options include the Grand Hyatt and its sister hotel the Park Hyatt. Both are testament to the notion that 5 star luxury is not the sole reserve of the coast. With an enviable post code, Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort and Spa sits on the Jumeirah Beach District ideally located for beach, golf and marina activities and is a shining example of understated opulence. If you do not fi nd what you are looking for in this brochure, simply call our Travel Team who can provide competitive rates for all of Dubai’s luxury hotels, including the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Emirates Tower. Prepare to be inspired in a land where ancient civilisation provides the foundations for the pinnacle of contemporary living.
